About the Artathon

The Nuit Rose 12-Hour Artathon is a collaborative and continuous art-making performance offering the public a unique opportunity to witness the creative process of artists who typically work behind closed doors.

Taking place on the closing day of Pearl Van Geest’s exhibition At a Moment’s Glance, and alongside Doors Open Toronto, the Artathon brings together artists, audiences, collectors, supporters, and the wider queer arts community for a full day of live creative energy.

From 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM, participating artists will create a new artwork every hour, on the hour. These works will be available for immediate purchase in person and online as part of the live broadcast of the event.

Each artwork measures 10 x 10 inches and is priced at $100, with proceeds split 50/50 between the artist and Nuit Rose.

Support Nuit Rose 2026: Rewilding

Funds raised through the Artathon will support Nuit Rose 2026: Rewilding, Toronto’s festival of queer art and performance, taking place June 18–21, 2026.

Your support helps make queer art visible, public, ambitious, and properly resourced. By purchasing artwork from the Artathon, you directly support both the participating artists and the festival.

How to participate

Join us in person at The Red Head Gallery throughout the day to watch artists create new works live.

You can drop in at any time between 8:00 AM and 8:00 PM.

Visitors will be able to:

• watch artists create work in real time

• meet participating artists

• purchase original artworks for $100

• support Nuit Rose 2026: Rewilding

• experience the closing day of Pearl Van Geest’s At a Moment’s Glance

The event is free and drop-in. 401 Richmond is wheelchair accessible by elevator and has accessible washrooms.
