About the event

Drag in a Bag: WILD THINGS! is a participatory drag fundraising event in support of Nuit Rose 2026: Rewilding, Toronto’s festival of queer art and performance.

Hosted by revered drag legends, Drag in a Bag invites audience members into the joyful chaos of drag, with pop-up performances, first-timer drag antics, music, make-up, wigs, shoes, and fabulous supplies provided.

No experience is needed. Audiences do not need to bring anything. Just show up, cheer loudly, and be ready for transformation.

This year’s theme is Wild Things, so expect playful creatures, feral glamour, unexpected looks, and the kind of community drag energy that can only happen when someone opens a mystery bag and decides to become a star.

What to expect

The afternoon will include:

• participatory drag

• pop-up performances by audience members

• drag antics by first-timers

• hosting by drag legends

• luxurious drag, wigs, shoes, make-up, and music provided

• a chance to meet this year’s Nuit Rose artists

• silent art auction

• swag

• fundraising in support of Nuit Rose 2026: Rewilding
