About the event

The Throbbing Rose Collective is taking over Red Head Gallery for a full day of live, unstoppable art making. Every hour, on the hour, participating artists create one brand new 10×10 inch original work in front of a live audience. Every piece goes on sale the moment it’s finished.

Works sell for $100. Half goes directly to you. The other half supports Nuit Rose and the Queer Up North Artist Residency. Unsold works stay listed on the Throbbing Rose website all summer.

Think you’ve got what it takes? Artists commit to a minimum of 6 hours, creating one work per hour on the hour. Fill out the form below to apply.

The Artathon runs on community. We’re looking for enthusiastic people to help make it happen. Volunteer shifts are 3 hours and you’re welcome to sign up for more than one.
